Championship Race commentary and skier interviews will be provided by local sports announcer Rudy Baca.
"TaosNet's experience and technical expertise deliver to the 'extreme,' by providing high speed internet to the extreme locations of the venues for this event" according to John Batis, the managing member of TaosNet.
"We are very excited to be hosting the 3rd Salomon Extreme Freeride Championships at Taos." said TSV Events Coordinator Alejandro Blake. "Having the best snow conditions seen here in 30 years we anticipate this being an even more exhilarating event than in past seasons. The deeper the snow...the bigger they go" said Blake.
The ski area is pleased to share the 2008 Salomon Extreme Freeride Championships highlight event with as many in the skiing community as possible. According to the ski area website, this event attracts some of freeskiing's top athletes including competitors from across North America, Canada, Japan and Europe. Last year the competition drew nearly 100 athletes who chased after a share of the $10,000 purse.
