Taos Ski Valley's fourth hosting of the "Salomon Extreme Freeride Championships at Taos 2009" will be webcast live over the Internet Saturday (9am-end), March 7th, 2009. Anyone who has broadband or high-speed internet access will be able to view the championships on their home computer. For more information about the live webcast go to www.taosnet.com.

local broadband internet service provider TaosNet (taosnet.com) in
conjunction with Glenn Pike who produces television, internet and
video programing for "It's Happening in Taos"(its-happening-in-taos.com)
and "Taos-Sports" (taos-sports.com).
"TaosNet's experience and technical expertise deliver to the 'extreme,' by providing high speed internet to the extreme locations of the venues for this event" according to John Batis, the managing member of TaosNet.
"We are very excited to be hosting the 4th Salomon Extreme Freeride
Championships at Taos." said TSV Events Coordinator Alejandro Blake.
The ski area is pleased to share the 2009 Salomon Extreme Freeride Championships highlight event with as many in the skiing community as possible. According to the ski area website, this event attracts some of freeskiing's top athletes including competitors from across North America, Canada, Japan and Europe. Last year the competition drew nearly 100 athletes who chased after a share of the $10,000 purse, which has been raised to $12,000 this year.
