"TaosNet's experience and technical expertise deliver to the 'extreme,' by providing high speed internet to the extreme locations of the venues for this event" according to John Batis, the managing member of TaosNet. The ski area is pleased to share the 2011 Salomon Extreme Freeride Championships highlight event with as many in the skiing community as possible. According to the ski area website, this event attracts some of freeskiing's top athletes including competitors from across North America, Canada, Japan and Europe. Last year the competition drew nearly 100 athletes who chased after a share of the $12,000 purse, which has been repeated this year.
